Scrivener for Mac
Oh no! Has Amirul's blog turned into some Mac software reviewing place?
(Worse still - is Amirul now like Jim???)
In my effort to turn my back to my obsolete gaming PC from snatching valuable hours with seductive rounds of Counter-Strike or something, I have prioritized my MacBook, Isabella, as a Productivity Unit.
That's right. Productivity.
There are no games on my MacBook, except, uh, Peggle Deluxe. And all that I've installed on Isabella are Photoshop, Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac, and iWorks.
But there's still a wealth of products I don't have on the MacBook that I need. Medieval II: Total War, for instance. Just joking! Productivity! Productivity.
I found a nifty product called Scrivener calling itself the best novel-writing program on OS X. It has a real wealth of features, but having not written anything yet, I won't be able to judge for sure. It even has a WriteRoom-style full screen mode, which I just absolutely love. Also, with Research windows and more, it's extremely helpful for large-scale projects of writingness. And it looks absolutely gorgeous. A word processing software that's gorgeous.
Try it out. There's a trial of 30 days at their website Literature and Latte.
Gosh, that just sounded like a free advertisement.
PS. I need InDesign for OS X! Then my life is complete and I can finally let loose and watch some DVDs or something.

Also, I just got InDesign CS3 and Photoshop CS3. Nudge, nudge.
